Next Meeting Date: Wednesday June 10th, at 4:30PM
We are a newly formed group of concerned citizens to aid our city's Police Department in the prevention of crime and increase our neighborhood's general security and safety. We want to educate and involve the community in observing and reporting suspicious activities occurring in our neighborhood and teaching preventative measures to take to prevent these activities from occurring or turning into crimes. We care about our neighbors and want them to be aware and involved in what is occurring in our neighborhoods on a daily basis.
This is a 24/7 activity and we need your help!
We are pleased to announce the formation of the:
"Red Pine Terrace Neighborhood Watch Program"
We are always looking for new members.
There is no cost to join, and nothing to buy, please just help us watch.

What you can do to help:
- Know your neighbor. Know the people and vehicles that belong on your street and pay attention to anything out-of-the-ordinary. You will be better informed of what is going on in your neighborhood and the first to know when crimes occur near you.
- Make your property secure. Do your best to ensure that your own home, vehicle, and property are not an easy target for vandals and burglars. Locks, lights, fences, security systems, etc. Do what you can to protect your own home. Your neighbors can be a pillar in your home security program. Being an active member of a Neighborhood Watch Program guarantees that both law enforcement and your neighbors wll part take in maintaining your home security.
- Identify and report activities. Make the call to police if you see any suspicious activity on your street and ALWAYS report crimes that have occurred to you or your property. The Neighborhood Watch will work more effectively with police support, and higher police support and visibility is attained through more calls. Also, making the call to your neighbor or block captain will help ensure that the same crime does not happen to your neighbor.
- It has been statistically proven: Watch programs are effective in crime prevention. The investment of your time in such programs will yield huge returns by making your neighborhood as well as your own home a safer and better place to live.
- These programs educate: Group members learn about what security measures are effective and ineffective.
Group members do not chase the bad guys, interrupt a burglary in progress, or track down perpetrators. They look out for problems and report them to police.
Neighborhood Watch Programs allow members to get to know one another. Members get to know who lives in the neighborhood, who is simply visiting, who is passing through, or who is staff.
It is not a 24 hour a day commitment. You attend a few meetings and then keep your eyes open during your normal at home activities.
It is not just for stay-at-home residents. Anyone can join.
